Gangler’s North Seal River Lodge, a renowned fly-in-only fishing operation in Northern Manitoba, has renewed its support of the Bonefish & Tarpon Trust as a Gold Partner.

“As passionate aficionados of fly-fishing the flats and really all things fishing, we strongly value the programs and studies BTT is involved in and felt it important Ganglers help support their efforts,” said lodge owner Ken Gangler.

Situated on 6 million acres along the North Seal River system’s pristine watershed, North Seal River Lodge was established by the Gangler family more than 25 years ago. It was one of BTT founding member Lefty Kreh’s favorite destinations, having made 12 visits to the watershed.

The unique terrain of this sub-arctic region offers anglers the opportunity to fish for all four species of the Canadian Grand Slam: pike, lake trout, walleye and grayling. Combining luxury and world-class fishing, the main lodge is limited to 26 guests and provides exclusive access to 30-plus lakes and 12 river systems. Gangler’s also offers outpost camps for the more adventurous angler.

In addition to its fishing programs, Gangler’s offers a variety of non-angling activities, including sight-seeing tours in the remote North Seal River area, where guests can learn about the region’s history, photograph abundant wildlife and unique geologic formations, and view the Aurora Borealis. Guests also can enjoy hiking through the transitional boreal forest as they explore the unique sand eskers that give this area its unique character. Those with a spirit for adventure can fly over remote areas with staff biologists searching for ancient, indigenous artifacts.

“We appreciate the North Seal River Lodge’s continued support of Bonefish & Tarpon Trust,” said BTT president and CEO Jim McDuffie. “From pike and trout to bonefish and tarpon, clean water and healthy habitat are the cornerstones of healthy fisheries. The generous support of the Gangler family will help BTT advance its efforts to conserve the grand slam species in Florida and throughout the Caribbean.”
