The magic of fishing comes from being so engrossed in something that your mind thinks only of the here and now. After several months of being stalked by a virus that you can’t see or hear or smell, it was nice to be back fishing — and feeling like the hunter once again.

The 24XO was introduced at the Miami International Boat show in February, and it’s the second model in a new line that combines the shallow-water capability of a bay boat with a deep-vee hull capable of heading offshore when the weather is right. The first model, introduced last year, was the 26XO.

The Cobia 330 dual console is the latest model from the Fort Pierce, Florida, builder. The company’s largest dual console, the boat is designed for family fun, fishing and day cruising.
